Competing in the world of AI
Discussion Brief
AI is colliding with silicon at unprecedented scale, and the pace of change today is the slowest it will ever be. This Amsterdam session brings the Executive Technology Board into the heart of the semiconductor ecosystem with ASML — a company whose technology underpins the world’s compute capacity.
Digital transformation is no longer a “technology program.” It is how large enterprises compete, allocate capital, and operate to deliver shareholder returns. This meeting is designed around two outcomes: sharpened peer patterns for AI-enabled transformation at enterprise scale, combined with a practical inside view of a member’s company - how ASML is re-imagining its own business and operating system in the age of AI.
Day 1 is a closed-door executive session at ASML, including an inside look at digital and AI in practice. An optional Day 2 will feature a morning of hands-on working session in Amsterdam with the leading European AI startups focused on building agentic systems together — not demos.
Agenda Overview
April 29 – Closed session (members only) | ASML, Veldhoven
A candid, off-the-record boardroom working session for CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, and CAIOs focused on the execution realities of AI-driven transformation:
- How AI is reshaping transformation roadmaps and investment theses (value cases, sequencing, capital allocation)
- Architectures that can absorb rapid innovation without creating fragility (platform patterns, interoperability, resilience)
- Operating models that align product, platforms, and measurable business outcomes (decision rights, accountability, controls)
Inside ASML – Digital & AI in Practice
A deeper dive and conversation in the backdrop of a member’s enterprise on how transformation is executed in a uniquely demanding environment:
- A behind-the-scenes tour into lithography and advances in semiconductor technology
- How critical manufacturing industries approach digital transformation across R&D, manufacturing, and services
- What it takes to run AI at industrial scale in ultra-complex, safety-critical engineering and global supply chains
April 30 Morning – Optional working session in an Incubator Lab | Amsterdam
A member-driven, closed-door “hands-on” build session with a small working group and a curated set of Europe’s leading AI startups - and hosted in Amsterdam. The goal is to collaboratively build agentic AI system using real tools and workflows — no sales pitches. We are currently structuring the program with six of the leading AI and Agentic companies across Europe with founders/CEOs in the room supporting the working session.
